If you have a fuel pressure gauge, have a friend start the engine and look at the gauge to make sure the pressure is not dropping.
If it is, it could be the main relay sticking.

could be the main relay sticking, could be a fuel pump or fpr leaking fuel pressure down, could be a dying coil or ignitor

every since I purchased my rex sometimes after filling up w/ gas it wouldn't start right away, it got worse in the summer till the point that anytime I tried to start my car it may or may not start. the hotter it was the worse it was. Rarely had problems at night. I replaced the main engine relay and I have had NO problems w/ any starting since then. That relay effects alot of stuff. roughly $70. at dealer.

main relay powers up the fuel injectors and the fuel pump, both essential to starting.

ok its not mechanical, its something electrical...when this weird situation happens, if i were to put my key in the on postion, nothing in my car would light up, not the clock, radio or any dash lights...but if i were to turn it off and on and take the key out and try it again the lights would come back on...wtf...

n00b question, semi-blown ignition fuse?

ok, wow i should have updated this, but the fix was a new ignition switch...mine was all burnt on the big white wire...

installation takes like 15 mins, and very easy to do...
