you are looking for easy HP. that doesnt exist in the honda world.
read the FAQ up at the top of the prelude page. there are a few threads in there that will open your eyes and let you know what you are getting into, as well as how to go about it.

Hey those plug in hair dyer.....I mean plug in super chargers are awsome, You get like 80 miles to the gallon, and they cut your 1/4 mile runs in half!
You might get better results out of one if you hook a Locomotive battery up to it. There are a few factors in installing a loco battery in you civic. First if you haven't seen one, it probably weighs more than a civic, and would need one hell of an alternator.
Seriously though, if you combine the Special resistor, and the plug in supercharger, you might .01 HP at 1 of the 6500 rpms you rip though when you are flying down the road.
I would take the 5-20 dollars you might spend on the resistor , and put it towards a cheap short shifter, you would probably get better results that way. Just my two cents.
