converting to obd1..vss issue

Default converting to obd1..vss issue

i just thought about this which i can't figure out. i'm converting my crx to obd1 using p30 ecu. however, i just remember that vtec won't engage if vss is not working. now the ef's have mechanic gauge isntead of electrical. how would i be able to get this work?

The speedo cable runs from the tranny to the gauge cluster. The cluster converts the this into an electrical signal, and a wire runs from the gauge cluster to the ECU. You can convert to OBD-1 and keep the stock speedo, cable, and wiring. If you get a conversion harness, they repin it for you.
