New camera (Canon G6), same old car
I just picked up the Canon G6 earlier today.... only place in So Cal to have it in stock and would allow pickup, I had to drive 40 min to get it
But overall I'm very satisfied with it and it's very easy to use and the shutter speeds & settings are also very easy to adjust quickly. Here are some pics I snapped just awhile ago just to see how they would come out on the new G6. FYI, the floursent lights on the buildings in our shop complex is a peach/amber color and not a clean white floursent light. I need to find a good spot that has a nice & pure white floursent light that I can take some better night shots with, but this should give you guys an idea of how the G6 made my car look at night.
First pic is with my old Canon Powershot S200 (2.0 megapixel)

Now here's the same pic on the tripod with the Canon Powershot G6

You can obviously see the difference. FYI, I didn't do anything different with the pics. I cropped them to the same size, used the auto brightness/contrast and sharpened the pic, and then saved it as a medium size file (5 on photoshop). You can go here for more info and sample pics I took already - https://honda-tech.com/zero...75612
Here are some others that I snapped. Usually I wouldn't post pics of my car but they just came out so clean with my new camera
I'm now actually looking forward for the next event or HT meet so I can take some good pics.

I'll play with it more tomorrow in the sunlight and actually get some good high quality pics, and save them as a higher quality file, and see how they turn out when I upload them to the web.

Will -- 7.1 megapixel
Nijia555 - I need to play with the settings more as there's tons of them, but I did snap some pics with a "Vivid" and "Neutral" lighting setting. Here's the Vivid one....

Here's the Neutral lighting setting.....

I really didn't mess with the white balance, as I couldn't find it but I'll play with it some more tomorrow under different lighting situations and during the day, under the sun.

$699 picked up
Not too bad considering the 5.0MP G5 cameras are $400-$500 and the 8.0MP Powershot Pro1 cameras are $900-$1000. Again, the G6 is a 7.1MP camera.
I'll snap some daytime pics with both cameras tomorrow and post up some pic comparasons again.
