d16y7 in 90hatch wiring ????
hello i just bought a 1990 hatch dx it had the multiport 1.5. when i purchased the car it has the d16y7 motor in it bolted down with a si tranny it has no intake manifold and just has the dx wiring harness laying in the engine bay now i was thinking i have a 94 obd1 wiring harness from a integ and i wanted to know if i buy a d16z6 im and use the obd1 wiring would this work? i noticed the connectors on the obd1 do not plug in the obd0 plugs what should i do to make it run right any help would be great thanks
so i would just keep it obd0 and just get the wiring from a a6 right will that just plug in or do i have to modify please any help would be nice i need like a hole parts list for the motor to work anything would be nice thanks
Need to modify your DX harness - since your main (underdash) harness is still DX , and SI engine harness won't plug into it.
Once you have modified the harness for MPFI, you can have a choice of running the car in OBD0 or OBD1. For OBD1 you'd need to swap some grey plugs onto your engine harness, and get an ecu adapter harness to be able to run an OBD1 ECU.
