***mini me question*** help please
im doing my mini me tomorrow and i gotta question when it says run the blue wire coming from the plug to D6 and the black wire to ground. i have the same color wires as BauleyCivics pic coming from that oil sensor plug and his look to be (red/yellow stripe) and (green/black stripe) so which would be ground and which would be ran to D6? Also do you have to cut the end of the plug off the wire coming from the vtec solenoid and run that to the ecu or do you get a connector piece for that too?

BauleyCivic: You’ll need to run the blue wire (or whichever color is from the plug) to pin D6, and then run the black ground wire from the plug to anywhere on the motor. You then need to run the green wire from the VTEC solenoid to pin A4.
see what i mean

It doesn't matter, its arbitrary which one you run to the pinout and which one grounds...its part of a circuit...its a big U...
For the solenoid, you can just run a wire from A4 and solder it, or you can get a connector, however you want to do it.

i think i figued it out, long as its the same obd it will fit. so a d15b7 (DX) dizzy will work on a d16z6 (SI) head cause there both obd 1.

Acually in a car it does matter, the flow of the circuit in a DC circuit dictates how some things work, so it does matter.
as for which wire, the green/black stripe should be ground

you need to drill the holes on the distrubutor (the holes closer to the hood latch, not the firewall one). slot it all the way through, then get a big washer and bolt the bolt in. Otherwise the dizzy will hold with just one bolt. When you get enough cash, get a z6 dizzy, you get a better range of adjusting your ignition timing.

so really it will be the bottom 2 bolts holding the dizzy and i should use the one closest to the hood latch for adjusting ignition timing.
no, it will be the hole closer to the hood latch (i guess you can call it the front hole) and the top hole. you loosen both bolts, get the timing correct, then tighten BOTH dizzy bolts.

Newbiee. Yes for some things it does matter. But that thing is a switch so it could give a rats *** which one is a ground.
