Default transmission issues on my all motor car

Ok so Johnzm an i were fooling around with my CRX last night. I have had trouble with the Tranny shifting from 1st to second. It is REALLY hard at high RPMS. Rest of the throws (2-3, 3-4, 4-5) are ok, sometimes they are tough but no where near as tough as 1-2. Well, funny thing, we noticed that if the car is in first gear and the clutch is pressed down, and you rev it up to say, 6-7000 rpms, the car will move foward! HMMM, this cant be normal, i never had a car do that before. This tells me that the clutch is engaged??!! what causes this? its a cable tranny, we are gonna try tightening the cable, but what would make the clutch be engaged while i have the clutch pedal pressed down? this is why i theorize my tranny is hard to shift, its almost like im shifting while the clutch is engaged and im not presing the pedal, this would make it hard to put in gear. follow me? suggestions? Trans is a S1 with clutch type LSD from a Y1 tranny.

you actually need to loosen the cable. you should have 1/2-1" of free play in the pedal.

the above is correct. also if the clutch cover is not torqued equally all the way around, or if the pressure plate is warped it can stay partially enguaged.

the syncro mesh fluid should be ok but any kinda friction modifier should not be needed quit wasting your money.

I run the LSD additive cause i have a clutch type-LSD an without going much into it, if i dont use the additive i get some funny noises from my trans. I tightened the cable an it seems to get better. however if i LOOSEN it it will GRIND EVERY GEAR when i have the clutch pressed in. So basically, tightening the cable, symptoms get better, loosening the cable, symptoms get worse. Im running a CM3 pp with an ACTION clutch disk also.
