Before i try to go ahead with repairs I just wanted to make sure that my problem matched I hope that doesn't violate the issue about searching for a topic before you start a new thread.

A new distributor and cap were put in after a new valve cover gasket and plugs were also put in. APparently it was leaking into my plugs and causing the car to miss. When i came home a couple of days after the repairs (this morning) the clutch pedal stuck in the down position, I cant shift gears without the car cutting off, and the check engine light came on. It also shuddered and rumbled when i tried to start it for some reason. From what i've read on here I'm assuming the most likely cause is the above topic where it says my clutch cable snapped? That causes a car not to start or is that just responsible for me not being able to shift into gear?

well first off all your clutch is hydraulic sooo...u dont have a cable to snap! 2nd of all i would check to see what CEL codes your throwing... and if your clutch pedal is stuck at the floor it would still start!

 

Okay i didn't know that. I'll do some searches on Check Engine Light Codes as I haven't done that before. Thanks.
