jdm hood latch

the latch on my jdm hood does not line up w/ my us support. i thought i could relocate the latch on the hood but that may not work. what's the best way to do this ?

Please use the search function. There are various pics floating around here on how to fix this. It has to do with bending the T support or spacing it outwards using spacers.
