i just installed an aem cai, was wondering if i needed to buy the bypass..
-ive heard people say aem sucks water into ur engine.
-ive heard people say it dosen't and i dont need a bypass valve.
wanted to ask people that really knew,do i need 1 or not??

you are correct eLUDEnu. it only works if the filter is completely under the water. no protection against splashes or wetness.
it's a complete waste of money. i regret buying the bypass valve when i had a 5th gen with the aem cai.
Carbon_Lude98, you already installed the intake.... for whatever reason you want to put the valve on, you are going to have to remove the intake and cut the piping. you dont need the bypass valve.
