Default Calling All "Type R" gods need help on motor codes

My buddy just put a B18C in his car....he was told that it was a JDM Type R motor. Is the motor real because I always thought that the the code should be B18C6/7 ? Then I was on the net and found this:

B18C 1.8L JDM DOHC VTEC 94+ Integra SiR-G 180ps

B18C1 1.8L USDM DOHC VTEC 94+ Integra GS-R 170hp

B18C5 1.8L USDM DOHC VTEC 97+ Integra Type R 195hp

B18C6/7 1.8L JDM DOHC VTEC 96+ Integra Type R 200ps

and

Integra
3G Japan '95-'97 B18C 1797 10.6:1 178hp@7600/129ft/lbs@6200
3G Japan '95-'00 B18C 1797 11.0:1 197hp@8000/130ft/lbs@7500

This might be a stupid question but WTF is an "Integra SiR-G" ? Is his motor from a 95-00 jdm. Seeing these two diffrent specs are messing me up. did he get ripped off? Can someone clear this up for me please

"Integra SIR-G = GSR"

JDM ITR is B18C
JDM GSR is B18C

Both Engine Codes are the same.

So you'll have to check the intake manifold, the GSR and Type-R manifold are different.

Also check to see if the tranny has LSD, and look at the heads, should be P73.

when looking at the head, it does not matter if it is stamped P73. this has been discussed and there are other stamps although it is a R motor.
like he said though, look at the lsd and intake manifold.

SiR-G is the JDM GSR with the JDM front end (single piece headlights)
Si-VTEC and SiR are the same as the USDM GSR (quad headlights)
Both have the same B18C engine (P72 will be stamped on the head) and it will also have the dual runner intake manifold.

that is some what right. sir-g is a96spec jdmgsr, which had the "jdm itr front end".

the 2 highligted are correct except its 200hp not 197.
the one with lower hprating is the gsr and the 200hp os the R both are jdmmotors.
