quick question about a6 cams into D15
What do i need to make this work other than the cam? I tried searching but couldn't find all that much on the topic. Is it even worth it?
A6 has a better grind... not sure if you would really notice it if you still run DPFI.
You might need the A6's valve springs since the D15 has weaker ones from the factory.

Yea, MPFI is a must. In my head i thought it was given, but i guess when i re-read my original post that would be my answer to it also.
Are the heads pretty much the same though? except for cam and possibly springs and retainers?

The Dx and A6 head castings are identicle, it's just the cam and *maybe* the springs & retainers... I honestly don't believe that the Dx came with a weaker valvetrain though.
you need an adjustable cam gear as well, cuz when you drop it in it wont match up perfectly. The timing will be off half a tooth depending on how you dropped it in, it's either going to be advanced 4 degrees or retarded 4 degrees (without cam gear). I've heard good things about this cam swap, someone on SOHCHONDA.com (i think it was mista bone) put this in his B7 and made something like 118whp with the basic bolt ons and this cam.
You need:
the camshaft, distributor, intake manifold, ecu, injector resistor box, map sensor and the A6 engine harness. The problem is that you can't used an A6 camshaft with the D15 dist. The A6 camshaft has different timming than the D15. The valves, springs, retainers are the same.
