Default Is it possible to install the oil pump inner rotor wrong?

GSR oil pump... When installing the oil pump back onto the crankshaft... how should I line up the inner rotor? I notice that the two grooves on the inner rotor are almost similar except one groove has an extra little U dip in it. Am I suppose to line up the inner rotor a certain way before placing it on the crankshaft or it only fits one way?

yeah i noticed that little U too. i wondered what the hell is that for. maybe it's to keep the oil pump from seizing to the shaft.
