oh god..wat is header's collector and header's outlet?
are header's collector and outlet the same?
do they both have the same diameter,,,cuz someone told me that the collector is always bigger than the outlet in term of diameter.....wtf...
in any case...if the collector has 2.5", what is the outlet ? 2"?

i think what they mean is that the piping diameter is 2.5", which means that the outlet is smaller due to the wall thickness.
I.E., JDM ITR is a 2.5" collector but the outlet is smaller ~2.3" (I THINK)

ok here is the low down on collectors
You can have a 1.75 inlet a 2.5" collector outlet and a 3" tailpipe.
We refer to collector outlet as the pinch point (where it gets the smallest) after this point the colelctor will usually have a transition up to a larger size.
hope this helps
Thanks Casey

hmm i kindda get the idea but still confused...
ok i got 4-1 header...where is the collector stopped?
i know the outlet is where the header actually ended (the the cat converter bolt on)...so i meansured mine...it's has 2.0"
in any case...if a collector is 2.5" can the outlet be 2.0" (it doen't make sense because the collector is much bigger than the outlet)..usually collector is 2.5 then the outlet will be 2.4 right?
will please someone explain to me some more detail with a picture will be much better....thanx guys

OK here ya go. The collector collects the 4 tubes together and shrinks down to make a venturi(2") then comes back up to 2 1/2 or 3"or whatever size your exhaust is( Outlet)Or the end of the header.
