hey guys whats up, im new to this forum. Yesterday i just got a 1988 Honda CRX and it would start good, and today i turned it on went to the store with my mom and everything was good, then we went to another store and when we were leaving, it didnt want to start, so i tried push starting it or whatever and it still didnt want to. Luckelly there as a gas station right there so we went to buy some gas, and when we put it in and i started the car it started up good, so we left and we went to go put more gas and when i tried to start it up, it didnt want to. so we pushed it to they side, getting ready to walk home when i tried to turn it on again and it turned on good so we left. So when i got home i turned it off, then i tried to turn it on again and it didnt, so i pushed it up a little bit, and it turned on, then i pushed it back were it was and it didnt want to, so then again i pushed it up and turned the key, it turned on. so i dont know whats going on with it. if some one can like give me some like possibilities on what it may be. it would be a lot of help, thanks.

well i dont know very much about crx's cause i just got it. but im just gonna see what happens. it only seems to turn on in specific positions or someshit like that, i dont know. im a rookie at crx's. well if you or any other people might now whats wrong with it. please post it, thanks.

 

started up fine, drove somewhere, then it was stubborn to start? sounds like a classic main relay problem. look under your dash on the driver side. you'll see the fuse panel. remove it, and on the left you'll see a little black box that says "relay:main". that's the main relay. i have the same problem, but i just hit the relay repeatedly with a phillips head screwdriver until the car starts...ghetto like that.
