jdm b15b wiring questions
i know that this engine will drop into my 91 civic hatch dx as far as mounts, axles, tranny, etc, but what ecu will i need, and what wiring ill have to do. mpfi is obvious, i know i need to do that. will i have to hack up my dx wiring harness?
just wire the car for mpfi then buy a converion harness for obdo to obd1 and run P28 or the P08 ecu. the rest of the instructions for hooking up the vtec solinoid should come with the conversion harness. the other thing is the injectors that come with the motor are obd1 you can use those you just have to run the injector grounds to a good ground. or use obdo injectors but then you need a resistor box. you willo also have to switch the distributor connectors on the stock wiring harness to the newer obd1 connectors. i can think of anything else right now.
a ZC would require you just to change the wiring to MPFI
With a d15b, you'll have a choice:
- OBD0 - just an MPFI conversion plus vtec. Vtec activation got to be creative.
- OBD1 - an MPFI conv., VTEC, plus OBD0-OBD1 adapter harness, so you can run an OBD1 ECU.
