I know alot of you guys here use the OEM ITR mask for highway trips and during track events and such. I recently got one to fit my 98+ front end w/ ITR lip to use on the highway, also. I know that the instructions say that the mask is supposed to be completely dry when installing it, but what if you're on the highway and it comes up a rain storm, do you have to take it off immediately?
Yesterday I was on the highway and it started to rain, and rain pretty hard for awhile. I was less than an hour away from my destination, and was in the middle of BFE w/ absolutely no place to stop, so I just left it on until I got there. I put a good coat of wax on the front end before putting the mask on, so do you think it's still okay?

moisture trapped under that bra can probably cause the bra to deteriorate with time.
but most people dont care.
because the bumper is the only thing it covers, and bumper = plastic, you wont need to worry about rust.

if moisture is kept under the bra for long periods of time, it would leave a sight for sore eyes... my sis had a bra for the crv. and about 4 years worth of ice/snow/rain/heat/cold left an unpleasant stain on the hood of the car.
i would periodically, take off the bra and wash all the dirt and grime off

yeah I took it off as soon as I got here, and I will rinse it off and let it dry before I put it back on again.
If you leave the nose mask on the car after it gets soaked with water several times, it will discolor the paint underneath it. I use the OEM Type R nose mask all the time, and remove it as soon as I can when it gets really wet. This doesn't happen too often, because I live in the desert.

I think you should be fine. I only use the bra for autox so I don't get cone marks. Probably wouldn't need it if I had more skillz.
