Is there any easy way to determine if a Comptech header is MIG or TIG welded on visual inspection? I guess the TIG welded one should have smoother welds, but, without being able to compare them side-by-side, is it easy to tell which one is which?

if it is stainless..more than likely its tig..you can usualy identify tig by te small neat welds..
