Converting from auto to manual?
Hey, I just recently purchased my 91 prelude Si...great condition, 78K miles, 0 miles on the tranny, perfect interior, but its automatic...mad beat huh? Whats the price we're talking to convert this to manual? Or do you think I should just keep it automatic and just work on engine?
Thanks...
Thanks...
really depends on your lifestyle.. how often you will drive it, if you have another car just in case it breaks down.. or.. if you have to drive through traffic and sh*t like that..
If you want to race and go to the track or what ever and have some fun with it, you should convert it to manual but it may decrease ur reliablity alittle or so, I'm not positive but a conversion of that kind will need to replace a bracket and cut a whole in ur floor to install the clutch pedal, I think the price goes for around $1,500 or so, make sure you have a reputibale shop work on your car.
I almost bought a 95 prelude that was auto, I was planing on converting it and had a website that told you the step by step procedure on how to do it and all the parts you needed, I'll try to find it and post the link up here for you
