What's a jdm plug? my car is JDM and it doesn't have a plug
Keep it, I find the wiper useful.

Well, out of sheer laziness mine is still off(i painted them and the rear wiper was shot, never got around to replacing it). I've found i actually miss it, maybe it's just because i live in florida and it rains every damn day, but i find it usefull when backing up etc. Maybe i'll go put it back on today....

There is no "JDM plug". This is what you need, and it comes from your "LOCAL" Honda dealership - Plug Part number: 6031-sr3-000 (from 1992 civic 3 door. Cost: US $18.15), add one washer and one 10mm bolt and your *** end should look gator.

is there any parts that are aftermarket that are like the honda one? I need a 'plug' but im not going to spend the 18 bucks for it. My tape is doing fine. but a plug would look better.

go to the honda dealer and get part number 91617-SB6-000 it's a 30mm firewall gromet and it's one piece

it does not work on the EG hatch glass because it's to thick but on the DA it works very good and it's just 1 piece and a thinner profile than the EG one which is meant to be used in conjunction with the hatch glass latch anyway

cost on that part will be less than 4 bux. On some aftermarket glass you may want to pick up some silicone to put in the groove first.

Why does everyone think anything cool is jdm..... sheesh, this is outta hand. But back to the topic... Personally I hate the rear wiper, completely useless to me. But I guess some people need it. You have 3 basic options to plug it:

1) Buy the civic plug from honda (the one mentioned above)

2) Pop your hood, look on the firewall, and find the rubber plug that fills a hole in the firewall. Pull it out, and pop it into the hole in your hatch glass....it fits perfect. You can also just order this plug from the dealer, should be a couple bucks at most.

3) Purchase the plastic plug kit off of ebay seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=WDVW I haven't seen this kit in person, but personally I don't like the idea of it. Basically just because its plastic. I'd rather have the oem metal one, or the rubber one, but not plastic (seems like it could scratch easier).

Oh, and option #4, just put black electrical tape over the hole in the rubber grommet on the hatch, lol. I rocked the tape for a year before I got off my lazy but and installed the oem plug I had.

There are many different size firewall plugs the one above is a 30mm not the standard 25mm size and comes in the EF and maybe DA

Unless you want it to rattle using a metal plug would not be a good idea and it will leak

you need to back up and think of it like this, many people I know have never been on H-T and the only time they have seen a hatch glass without the rear wiper is on JDM DC glass ect and so on other models such as the DA it might seem a plug would be JDM, your not god , you don't know everything and at some point in your life I'm sure have said something that makes no sense to someone who knows better so take a pill and kick back y0! and it certainly has become rather bandwagonish to worry about whether someone else is on it anyway

And maybe he had other considerations like not knowing if it becomes a pain not having a rear wiper over time ect, after all people asking advice about an appearance related mod is exactly what this forum is about without uniformed questions this forum wouldn't really be honda-tech

That would require being open minded, that's not very common here.
