I have a poormans type r, in a EG hatch.
i dont know what to think, i guess i was hopin for easy 13's
my car put out 170hp 130tq.
i know your gonna say get down those 60 foot times but i couldnt!
The track wouldnt let me use my slicks so i had to use my boys bald BF's.
On a side note you guys that live close to a trap a so lucky. i have to drive 3 hours each way to get to a lousy track!!! its depressing. I hate street racing but its like i'm almost forced to
i wish they'd put a track up in my state

My set up is...
GSR w/ USDM ITR pistons and CTR cams.
Skunk IM
Fake J's intake
DC 4-2-1
2.5'' catback
and a bunch of other small stuff.
12NV: my slicks are brand new MT 22-8-15's. They wouldnt let me use slicks cuz ot was a 'street night' and they dont what to attract the 'real' racers to take advantage of the lower admission fees
but there were mad meatheads runnin cheater slicks i wish M&H, Hoosier or MT would step up and make some cheaters in our sizes!!
P.S. i love your car man

well thats a bunch of ****. i go to the import night at a sorta local track (2hrs away) every once in a while. its only $15 or so for me to enter. but if i go on a saturday its $35.
i think u will b ok with those 22s. u will have to launch off the limiter in order to get them to work properly. my friend just got his MT 22/8/13 and his car was boggin hard even when launchin off the limiter. hes got a B16 though. if all else fails dont use them until u get more power. store them inside though.

M&H does make a dot legal 13" tire, it will fit on a 13" vx rim. i have used it in the past, and my best et on them has been a 12.8@106.5mph with a 1.9 60' time. my best 60' time on them, was a 1.8 60'. but now that the car has a better alignment, i'll ask my friend(i sold them to him) to lend them to me to see if i can get a better 60' time and a lower et!

i have integra front brakes. i dont think i can run 13's. **** my HX 14's needed spacers to fit
after the hurricane leaves, i'll have my friend come over. i have a set of spacers, i'll see if the vx rims fit over his gsr brakes!

i just spoke to my friend that has the m&h on the vx rims, he told me that he won't be able to get them to me till wednesday night. but he did tell me that if you use a 1/4-1/2" spacers, that you should have no problems fitting the vx rims on the gsr brakes. he knows this, because he did it on his 95 gsr. instead of a spacer, he used washers to make the rims clear the brakes. he drove like that for a couple of hours, on a saturday night at the street races!

</TD></TR></TABLE>let me rephrase what i said in my last post, you can use them with a 1/4-1/2" spacer. it would be best for you just to upgrade to extended studs, since they will be required at any major event(if the tech guy is following the rules) if you're using slicks! i wouldn't run those rims on washer, that's why i went to the parts store and bought 1/4" spacers LOL

Dude...when did you hit up NE Dragway? Some of the tech inspectors are strict and some have no idea what they are talking about. Your times look pretty good to me. My friend hits 1.9 60' all day on his 225-50-15 bf's dr's. I wonder if i might have seen you up there before? There was another guy with a red EF from HT that was hitting 14.6's...i dunno if you know who that guy is? i should've said whats up to him but he was pulling away from the tire fill area. I'll say whats up if i see you up there? whats color is your eg?

apparently you missed the first post, lol they wouldnt let me use my slicks. and yes, it does feel like i could pull a low 13 out of her.
EKchump. i have a white EG with a carbon hood, amber corners and hx wheels, what are you driving? and thats true, i should have put them on to see if i got through tech

i hit a 14.4 with a jdm gsr motor, s2 IM, and a 4-1 header in my eg hatch. i also had like a 2.3 or 2.4 60'.
you should be able to hit better times. i know when i get my launch down, i think i can hit a lower 14 or possibly a high 13.
i'm going to be ordering a CTR intake within the next day or two.

Those are pretty good times, so I wouldnt be bummed out! try it with your slicks and see how you do! Another issue here maybe what kind of EG hatch do you have b/c the Si is 360lbs heavier than the VX, CX hatches which are right at 2044lbs. So weight may be an issue! Also is your hatch gutted or not!
