stupid vtec question..
is it normal for GS-Rs to have less kick than other vtec cars? because i was in my friends prelude and there is a definate noticably power surge if you will when vtec hits, but my gsr doesnt have a kick. is that normal?

No.. You just have a slow GS-R..
Full Tune up
Maybe a compression/Leakdown test
I've always felt that B18c1's were slow till the secondaries open.

actually its more your ecu has the vtec set as good as it can for being stock. most honda's have the vtec point set a little high so you feel it. its like raising the prices at a supermarket so you save more with ur savings card.
seriously tho, your vtec should be set real nice thats why you dont feel it as much. do you hear the vtec x-over and secondary runners opening? or is the sound real smooth?
also it is good to do a full tuneup and compression test anyways. even if ur car feels great. also check your oil pressure if it is high either clean your stock or buy a new oil pickup. the screens clog up if the oil isnt changed regularly.

From my past experience GSR def has more "kick" than a prelude and you should def hear the secondary butterflies open up. If your GSR is seems to lag then maybe you just need a tune up. Have a reputable shop take a look at it.
