What do you think about this allmotor setup??
Well I'm about to build my motor within the next week. I just got my hands on an ITR head instead of using or building my GSR head. My question is-will there be any clearance issues(valve to piston) and what will my compression ratio be in the end. I'll be running a JDM DC 4-1 w/ 2.5" collector and a Apexi N1 exhaust. I will upgrade in the future to a real allmotor header such as SMSP or ANR. I'll also upgrade to true 2.5" mandrel bent piping.
I have a 97 ITR head w/ slight P&P, ferrea valves and stock valvetrain
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
Skunk2 Stage 1 cams
Skunk2 Cam Gears
AEM fuel rail and FPR
Stock GSR injectors-will move up to RC 310s in the near future
ARP Headstuds
GSR(B18C1) bottom end
CTR pistons-THIS IS MY BIG ISSUE-ARE THEY TOO AGGRESSIVE???
Stock Shot peened GSR rods
New main bearings, rod bearings, and thrust washers
Hondata S200
What would my compression ratio be w/ the ITR head and the CTR pistons?? Would there be a chance of valve to piston damage w/ such a high dome piston?? I know the CTRs w/ the GSR head would yield around 13.1-13.3 compression ratio. I know the use of the ITR head will lower the compression ratio.
Should I go w/ the stock GSR(B18C1) pistons w/ the ITR head?? Maybe adding a 2 layer headgasket? If so what would my compression ratio be??
Also should I keep the stock ITR intake manifold or is it not worth it to upgrade to a Skunk2 or AEBS?? And if it is worth the upgrade then Skunk2 or AEBS? I'm leaning towards the Skunk2 intake manifold.
Thanks in advance and sorry for such a long post w/ so many questions.

mods please delete threads like these. threads like these pop up every single day and can be easily dealt with by lookin at others setups. use the search button and read for a bit instead of u expecting everyone to wipe ur asses along the way.
I've been searching for the last month and a half and I haven't read any posts w/ a setup similiar to this. That's why I finally posted my thread. I really did do more than a couple of searches. Maybe you can send me some links??
i did a search came up with 92 threads in the all motor section and 272 throughout HT.

just for future reference stuff such as AEM fuel rail/FPR, headstuds, intake manifold gaskets and shot peened rods have very little to do with the actual performance of the motor. its just added stuff that isnt needed.

i asked a kid what mods he had done to his integra one day and the response was
intake, exhaust , sony xplod's 12's, etc.... i think most of you know where this is going

but too i don't think your compression is going to be that high i would say 12.1-12.5 but is this going to really be built because like 12nv said we here this **** all day long on here

I have all these parts except the AEM fuel rail, FPR. My boss has a set of CTR pistons on shot peened GSR rods that he will GIVE ME if I want them. That's why I posted this question. I bought this head from Len at Baranco Acura. I ordered the ARP headstuds today so they should be at the shop on Tuesday.
This setup will be built and posted hopefully within the next month.

too much compression for skunk2 stage 1s. 11.4 compression is all that is needed to yield ideal results w/ the stage 1s.
