ya i had a theory it was related to the AC. i haven't used the AC yet since i got the car this month, but my bro who used it said it sux and doesn't really work.
Do i have to get this belt fixed immediately or my car can be in trouble?

Give us some of that cool Canadian air! Its been burning down here in California over the past few weeks. Anyways, the fix is pretty straight forward - replace with a new belt. If car has pretty high mileage, you might want to think about replacing the other belts and water pump while you are at it.

no you only need it on if you want the a/c to work.
i would have changed all belts upon engine installation. along with your water pump and necessary engine seals...
just be glad it wasnt your cam belt... get those belts changed!

it's cool you're going to be lurning more about your motor and whatnot. i suggest buying a helms manual because it describes anything you could really imagine.
make sure to check the timing on the motor for added security.

it's an air compressor belt.
it just affects your a/c and nonthing else.

Its not air compressor. That is the refrigerant compressor.

if you careless for your a/c. just cut the belt off. you will not have a/c but yet you don't have to fix it.
btw don't start the motor with that belt dangling around in there, it could cause somemore serious problems. remove it asap.

Somebody already replaced the belts, those are not factory. And like Esponet said, fix that belt asap. Saw a car suck a belt into the timing cover once, timing belt jumped and bent valves. It was not pretty.
