Im am getting codes 22 and 17 and I dont know how to fix it.

22 VTEC pressure valve
17 VSS - speed sensor

wtf...

I have a 99 integra GSR turboed with a Hondata ecu chip in my stock gsr ecu.

any help i would be thankful for.

 

my car is also throwing a code 17. i take it your speedo doesnt work? your vss is located near your tranny, but have no idea how difficult it is to re-install. i know i wasnt much help, but me more specific and ill try to be. whats going on with the car since its been throwing these codes?

 

i know someone who was quoted 275 for a vss from acura, so id try to go to a junk yard or go through someone you know. and yeah, its located in the back of the trans

 

The speed sensor takes about 1 or 2 mins to replace its one 10mm bolt then u pull the speed sensor from the tranny. The best thing to do it take ur speed sensor out take the 2 10mm bolts from the sensor plug and look to see if there is a little pin in between the bottom and the top. Also check to see if you speed sensor is turning. Place it in the tranny with the top off and roll the kar forward and if u see it turning it could be the wiring.

well if u think ur speedo works well try to take off ur battery and count 20 seconds then put it back on and see wut happen... coz it cant be throwin codes if there no reason for it.. try to reset it like i said by takin of ur battery and see wut happen after that...

 

well my cars impunded right now but i will try that. anyways the check light only comes on when i start my car then goes off or sometimes it jsut comes on randomly.
