ok so i jus swapped a b16 in my crx it starts fine but when it idles it idles atabout 1200rpm tehn drops to 700rpm thn back and forth. whats up with it. i was thinking the idle speed valve. or whatever it is. is that it or no?

 

try taking the idle air control valve(iac) off and cleaning it

 

first try cleaning out the IAC. then if that dont work, take apart your FITV and screw in the white plastic screw. do a search for fast idle thermo valve. i had the same problem last week. sure enough it was the FITV.

 

where is the fitv located?

 

i fixed it thanx guys. i had a loose wire goin to the ecu. thanx
