Power drops out on 04 Odyssey, fuel pump recall related?
Hi All,
Have a new 04 odyssey now with just under 5000 miles and have been very occasionally experiencing a power drop off when trying to maintain a cruising speed.
Basically, if I am coasting with slight throttle going down hill on the highway doing 70-75mph, and then I hit the level part of the road and slightly give the van gas, instead of feeling like I'm maintaining speed, the power just disappears even though I keep slowly pushing into the throttle, until it decides to down shift into 4th and go again. It was happening very rarely and only at high speeds, but this last week I experienced the same thing doing only 30mph. I even counted to 3 once while I watched the tach fall from 1700 rpms down to 1000 even thought I pushed into the gas more then and inch, and then it finally down shifted into 2nd and woke back up again.
I then noticed a post at odyclub.com with a link to a recall story...
http://www.pulse24.com/Busines...e.asp .
Maybe its related to my issue, but I want some feedback to see if anybody else has experienced this so my wife doesn't think I'm nuts. I do have an appointment to take it in in two weeks, my dealer is swamped, but again, would like some confirmation that I'm not loosing it.
thanks all
