Default b16a1 to b18a1. Is it worth it?

I'm new here and I need advice. After reading over this and various other sites, I'm a bit perplexed. I did a swap of a b16a from a junker into my CRX, but I'm thinking of changing it out to a b18. Will the difference in torque be worth it since I use my CRX as a daily driver? Thanks in advance.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mrspeaker &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If this ur daily driver then just keep the b16a in till it dies..
and yes the ls motor is alot torquier ..</TD></TR></TABLE>

Best route, then when B16 dies take the head and make ls/vtec, but all in all do what you really want to do, you already have a gut feeling just go with it

Thanks guys. The LS/Vtec sounds like a winner. Also I can do this before the engine dies since I have my Toyota too. I'll need the extra torque for my trips back home to MO. Got mountains to go through...

Not worried about that. I don't race it, I just like the power for my own enjoyment. Plus if wheelspin becomes a problem I'll just get a LSD and much better tires.

It depends on your situation but put it to you this way.. I'd gladly trade you my b18 for your b16

That settles it. I'll just buy a "new" b16 from a JDM Si and build the heck out of it. I want the most for my money since I'm modding 3 cars. I'll stick with what I know. Any other suggestions on how to get the most out of my daily driven rex?

I know, I'm not a forum newbie. I just thought I was making friends, maybe I could get a good dialog going or something. It's all good. Thanks for all the help so far.

To get the "most" for your money... just give your B16 a 7psi punch.

My vote: LS/VTEC with high compression.
