96 Civic HB AutoXer
I have an idea to make a 96 Civic HB into an autoXer. The car will look pretty much like the Spoon Civic Type R found in Japan. I want to get the Spoon Racing wheels found on the Spoon Type R, and I know of a site I can get them from. There will be mods to the aerodynamics and body stiffening, along with other mods.
My questions are: Would a N\A B18C have enough power to get me to about 150--160mph. Keeping in mind that the car will be completely gutted, and the engine will have numerous and extensive mods. The other is which company makes good coil overs for this type of application.

Cool, sounds like you have done a lot of research on this project.
You could order Spoon wheels from one of the numerous US distributors but you should order directly from Spoon Japan because I hear their rimz are lighter then the ones exported to the US.

Yeah, a N/A/ B18C would easily get you to 160mph. Especially if you're using the lightweight Spoon wheels. That would TOTALLY crush your competition at an autocross.
I would go with the Spoon coilovers because they are matched to work with the other Spoon parts on your car like the Spoon wheels.

STFU guys! I get up to like 170MPH in autoX all the time! I go so fast that I need a huge wing to keep me on the ground!!!!
Kid - Figure out what class you want to run in and build your car according to that. Don't build a car and try to shoe-horn it in somewhere. You will have very poor results that way.
150-160MPH? In a Civic? That is streetable?
Riiiiiiight . . . .
