Default More H22A4 in a 4th gen axle issues

Let me describe the issue at hand.

When entering a right turn at moderate to fast paces, halfway into the turn I hear a distict "pop".......I feel the noise through my dead pedal.

When straightening the wheel, I hear "pop".

It feels as if something is coming undone.......then then popped back into place.

To describe it in more human nature....think of an arm extended at a 90 degree angle from the body, someone pulls it out of place, "pop", then jams it back in.

I don't feel anything in terms of steering.

These are 1996 Honda Accord 5-spd axles w/ ABS. I have replaced 2 good axles because of this and the problem has not dissapeared.

Any suggestions?

it might be one of your ball joints...why dont you jack up the car...turn it on...get under the car and have someone steer the wheels while you try and identify where the problem is coming from..thats what i did when i was having axle problem...and sure enough it was the axles..did you get your re-built?

Yes, they are re-manned axles.

When the car is in the air, there is no play in the joints, they don't make any noise nor do they move in erratic ways.

The only sounds that I hear are at full lock, and that sound comes from the steering rack.

Just looking to see if anyone else has been faced with these issues.

you need to put the car in gear and spin the tires..if its from the cv axles then you would find the problem quick because the will make the tires shake..steer the wheel also..have someone help you.

oh and by the way..what octane are you using?

94 octane from Sunoco

or 93 octane from Shell (V-power)

I'll try that out man, but these things happen to axles all the time, I am gonna have to make sure I have the correct mounts in use, cause somthing ain't right and I don't think that it's the axles fault.
