Truck Lock Busted

I have to slam my trunk shut in order for the lock mechanism to catch.

Otherwise my trunk will swing open again.

Is this easy to change/fix? How much is the part? What is this part called?

Try adjusting the latch. It may be too low and require the trunk to be forced pretty far down to catch. Move the latch up a bit.

My guess would be as h2290 mentioned...also check the lock on the lid NTM check the tracks of the trunk to make sure nothing is blocking it
