Default Legend coupe red taillight project

I saw this done on a few RSX's and decided to try it on the Legend taillights. I used red vinyl film to cover the amber portion at the top. This was my first attempt. There are a few flaws, but not too bad imo. I did scratch the vinyl some while trying to squeegee out any bubbles. I'm still refining my techniques. Also I only applied the vinyl to the amber portion, and now that it's done I think I should have just covered the whole thing. I'll try this on the next one. Anyway, what does everyone think?

Here's a couple I just took.

You can see how the color top vs. bottom is not quite the same. Hopefully if I cover the whole thing on the other one it'll look perfect.

Thanks. Here's a daytime pic. on the car. I left the driver's side one all red to compare to the red and clear. Of course this wouldn't be legal but whatever.

Thanks. You and a few other people I've talked to all seem to prefer the red/clear so I think I'll go with that. I've been trying to decide for a couple days. As far as the hids, I like them so far, just put them on last night. I had a hard time deciding between the 5300k and the 6000k, but I think the 5300 ended up being a good choice. I'll post a few pics if your interested.

Here's a few pics. They came out sort of weird, the camera didn't like the brightness of the lights, kept dimming down all the way. Anyway...

They look better in person, believe me. You'll be happy with the 5300k I think. I may attempt some better pics tonight.
Here's where I mounted the ballast and igniter on the back of the headlight.

i know that. their headlight design is different so we need a higher number to compensate.

Props to you for making those. How exactly did you make them anyway? On another note, I was wondering if you guys know what the difference is betweeen the EDM taillights and ours? Are the EDM's red/clear?

I hate to say it, but keep the whole taillights ALL RED. Not that many cars can pull it off. It almost looks like a alien, it looks Bad ***!!! I hate to say it, but I was for a second reminded of 'Kit', which is COOL as ****. More pics of that???

Looks like BB6 tails. I like! I like! I prefer red over white but either way is way better than orange.

Also with the red vinly on, can teh relfector still reflect light? Seems kinda dumb but thought id ask. I was gonna spray my tails with the red tint i have but wasnt sure if the reflector would still come through.

takes a lot of time and patients man. you can rush on this job. first, carefully cut the signal and reverse out. leave just the orange trim. then you have to heat the pexi glass to fit on. the tail light isn't straight but near straight. then use clear silicon glue make it stick. i got rid of it cuz here in CA sucks dick. cops writes tickets and it's not worth my time getting pulled over.
