Is it true that it is necessary to upgrade to higher compression pistons if u have a b18c1 engine and plan to upgrade to stage two cams? How would my engine handle if i were to upgrade to these cams and keep my stock GSR pistons?

 

who fed you that load of crap. you do not need higher compression pistons to run higher lift cams. I also am doing a b18c1 all motor build up. But all you need to upgrade to higher lift cams is new valves forged, new dual titanium valvesprings, titanium retainers, and some valve guides so you don't have valve float. This all depends really on the can Lift and Duration. Mostly you'll only have valve float though if your cams lift exceeds .500. Have fun with your build up.

 

its not necessary to upgrade to higher cr pistons but higher lift cams have a thirst for high compression. do some searching and reading.
