trying to learn about A/C for my 90 accord. so i can fix it, or isolate the probs.

Whats the story? Can you jumper the pressure switch and make the compressor and fans run? Here's another good link.

i am new to everything for the most part.

the fans do come on.

the a/c turns on just not cold. i am guessing the compressor is hashed. i am nto sure if there are leaks though and what not.

i want to convert it to r134 and charge it back up and go from there and diagnose things.

 

bump for ideas and help in diagnosing.

so if i take it to a shop and they charge it w/ r12 (which it says). what can it do? will they tell me what is exactly wrong? if there is a leak, which major component is exactly hashed??

i was thinking of changing all the components..

Go back and look at the thread the last time you asked about this a month ago. My advice then was buy a manual and read it. None of this happens by osmosis. TxTuner said it even better...RTFM!!!
