Default d16a1 swap help

the d16A1 had an external coil need info on how to wire into an internal coil or how to make the crx si harness work with the external coil for the d16a1

d16a1 out of an 86' teg. But I think I am gonna use the MSD external coil, but I still dont know how to wire that coil up. If anyone has any info, plz let me know. This is my daily driver...

so your somehow putting a 1986 d16a1 in an 88 hatch using the dx tranny.

i would try to get a distributor from an 88-89 teg. otherwise you will have to figure out what needs to be rewired. sounds like a pain in the ***...dx to mpfi to pre 88 wiring.

if possible just do an mpfi conversion (if the hatch is indeed dpfi), then use the dizzy from the 88-89 d16a1 (if it is a bolt on deal) and use the injectors from anything 88-91 (except dx and 88-89 hf).
