No, lots of people do this...just plug the hole from the vacuum line in the IM.

I don't have one and my motor runs fine. I have one though but I do not have the ICD. I have the lines and everything. What does that thing even do? I have two or three pins in my ecu that go to nothing, I believe the wires were white. Could someone please tell me what the thing does and why it would make my car run better or worse?

I asked that same question about a month ago and no one could tell me what it is for either.

There's another little butterfly-flapper thing down there for your stock intake box. That solenoid controls the opening of it...completely useless....

The cold-start (FITV) is on the bottom of the throttle body...

Nope Ive had mine out for awhile now. Unless you are using stock airbox you dont need it. Just opens the butterflys in the resonator. Threw mine out several months ago

The crate my swap came in had everything that went under the hood, even the fuse box and the cruise control. I was kind of freaked out when I saw that thing and no one could tell me what it did or where it goes. I had an S F22A1 originally and it did not have that thing.

I'm glad to find out it is worthless.

it basically opens a flap in the airbox, quieting down the intake when you punch it...at least thats the way it was explained to me....kept it quiet for all the old grandpas that bought these cars brand new so they wouldn't **** themselves if they did punch it!!
