I am working on a '88 Honda Accord LXi 5-speed. The transmission is missing 5th gear. A cousin of mine went to his uncle, and he has a '86 Civic 5 speed. He said we could have the trans for $65, just to get it out of his way. I think the Civic was a 1.5L, and the Accord is a 2.0 .

Will the trans swap over ? Even if it don't fit, I will probably still get the trans and sell it myself.

Obviously, by my name you can tell I'm used to American cars. This Accord has been a whole new experience for me, changing the head was an adventure, just can't wait to get the trans out...lol

Anyway, any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

That sucks . Anybody know where I can get a trans or just where I can get the 5th gear parts.

Will the 5th gear parts work out of the Civic ?
