May have been screwed on my CTR cam purchase!
I purchased some CTR cams off Ebay about 4 weeks ago... and I just received them. Needless to say the guy is an extreeeemely slow shipper. His screenname on Ebay is Fiis300jw if anyone cares to know. Anyway, after looking around on these forums I have read that the CTR cams have two grooves (rings) at the ends of the camshafts and that b16 cams have no grooves and are difficult to decipher amongst. Well, the cams I received in the mail have no grooves/rings at the ends. Please let me know if these are CTR cams.

Fiis300jw is his Ebay name... buyers beware. He lives in the New York area... anyone wanna beat some *** for me? If he doesn't try to make this right I'll give everyone his email address so we can sling hate mail his way.

Ok, his NEW reply is that that he HAD them in a 93 civic, not that they are 93 civic type r cams. Is there any possible way these cams coud be CTR's and not have the double grooves on the end? He swears that he dyno'd them and got 11 hp gains over the b16a cams.

Umm...they're not CTR cams, end of discussion. No matter how many posts you make about it, they're not going to turn into them and act like them. Sorry, but he scammed you bad.

Exactly. Your next email to him should be a demand for a full refund. There isn't any reason why you should be arguing with him over this, since they're clearly not CTR cams. If he advertised them as authentic CTR's, he owes you your money back.

I've already emailed him several times, demanding a refund since these obviously aren't CTR cams, basically he says he won't send a refund. I've filed a claim with Paypal but since I "technically" received the item, even though it's not in the condition described, they cannot do anything.
YAY PAYPAL
-Note to self- start selling cars on ebay, make a killing at it by sending buyers sticks of Wrigleys chewing gum instead of the car pictured. I have also filed a claim with Ebay and thru their SquareTrade mediation services, hopefully I can get this resolved.
