I think my speedo cable fell apart.
I have crx dx with b16a cable ls trans, and the speedo cable must have fell out and now the i can see the cable that is usually in the hidden inside the black cable that connects to the trans. hard to explaint like the cable you plug in to the trans, take that and the actually cable thats inside that fell out. How do you put it back in or fix or is it broken? It didn't fall completely out just came like a foot out.
I dont quite follow what you are trying to say. First off, are you using the stock speedo?
The speedo wire comes out of the firewall and that is a black sheath with a wire inside that has a flat end. This flattened end of the wire mates up with the speedo gear. The speedo gear assembly is made up of a rubber boot, a large retaining clip, speedo gear holder, small retaining clip, and the speedo gear.
Which of these parts are you missing? bellow is a diagram that I inculded that may help you out. I just recently reassembled my DX speedo and installed it into my tranny. Let us know what parts you are missing, and if you are using a stock speedo assembly.
