Keyless entry was built into the headunit. Sorry dude. Get an aftermarket alarm.

I replaced my factory head unit in a 02 Si with an aftermarket one. The keyless remote still works fine for me. I don't think Honda has put the brains for the remote in the headunit in a few years.

I don't have a definite answer to why it doesn't work for you. Possible a wire lose/snagged/not plugged in.

you just need to relearn the key (dongle) probably... had the wires disconnected long enough... But the remote keyless entry is not built into the headunit anyways.

100% false. The last Civic that had the Keyless Entry built into the head unit was the 1998 model.

I would've guessed it was just a blown fuse, glad you figured it out dude.
