Default painting?

im starting to paint all my lips on my 95 accord but i was wondering if i can paint the rubber trim on the doors with the same paint? If i paint it with duplicolor or import color (whatever pepboys has) is it going to crack and chip when the rubber expands and contracts in weather changes? Should i just not paint the rubber? Is there another way to get the rubber clean because its faded like the lips? thanks

im about to do the same thing to my whip very soon, umm since its plastic/rubber clean it off very well and add a layer of this adhesive called bulldog. Ive been told you can find it at Wal Mart. It helps the paint stay on there otherwise itll just crack and peel off. Also try to find a shop that will mix paint using your paint code in your car, itll be better than using something that is close to the color because you can always tell that is a diff color and itll just bother ya trust me. The paint might be more expensive but itll be better than multiple shade differences

is the bulldog stuff better than primer? or is it made specifically for rubber trim?

the bulldog stuff is just an adhesive for paint, you will still need to primer the parts
