Default Pictures of my H22 head ported and polished and welded chambers(56k warning)

Heres my new head for my JDM h22 rebuilt after breaking my exhaust cam and bending 6 valves. Head was welded up and ported and polished. Rocket springs and retainers.I haven't had a chance to CC the head yet but i think its somewhere around 45-44ccs down from 48ccs stock?? i'll have to cc it soon.

I CCed it at 49ccs, so the weld reduced the volume be about 4-5ccs, giving it an approximate CR or 11.4:1 on a stock JDM botom end. i also CCed the intake and exhaust ports for the hell of it. Intake 138ccs exhaust 110ccs

Stock is 53.8cc's...

get that thing cc'd... Ive been curous to see how much that would drop the combustion chamber volume down...

Who did your headwork?

I have a GSR head that had the #4 piston explode and it left all kinds of scratches on the comustion chamber, the valves were not bent Do you think a head with that kind of damage can be repaired? And why do you think your cam broke?

weve had head with dropped valve and had a local machine shop reweld all camber and install all new valve seats

the head was ported so it was cheaper to fix the head then to buy a new one and spend the time porting it all over again.....

so its a judgement call on your part

mine ate 1 valve and destroyed the seat. it cost me 200 or 250 to fix. new seat and weld 2 nicks.. that weld job has had to increase compression ratio a **** load. my quechpad size was about 30 thou. 30 thou on my 89mm was about 1.3 higher compression ratio.

i'm gonna cc it tomorrow. the chamber and the ports. yeah if its around 50ccs then my comp would be around 11.2:1, 48ccs 11.6:1 and 45cs around 12.2:1. this is on stock JDM block, factory head gasket. i thinking it will be around 49-48ccs ir stock was 53, but i'll see for sure tomorrow.

I have had a few freinds that have had rebuilds done through him. He does great work, I just don't like the turn around time.

to cc a head or the volume of anything u use a peice of plexiglass or something of that nature, seal off the edges with grease and inject water into the chamber and measure the water as u inject it. I was thinking how i was going to do this and i wasnt going to go to the hardware store just to buy a peice of plexiglass so i just started looking around the apartment. found the cd case pretty quick just had to drill a small hole in there. And the syring came from my dentist when i had my wisdoms pulled about a month ago.

Yeah and dan's turn around time really sucks. But if u do it the right way and pay him before he starts or atleast give him ur credit card number and maybe tell him that ur car is down becuse of the rebuild he would probably move ur build up in his priority list. other then that u probably see a turn around time of about a YEAR with a complete performance build up. Ive had a couple of engines sit there for a year 2 a year and a half and it kinda sucks cuz plans change when it takes that long. But dan does good work

i used the same syringe to measure mine. it was off by about 8cc. i would send it to a shop to check it again. they have a real cycinder to measure it with. trust me you may be off by a whole point.

i didn't measuer it with that syring. theres no markings on it. i just used it to inject the water. i know its not totally acurate but it give me a ball park range +/- 1 cc or so. Dan extimated around 4-5ccs less aswell
