Default Best and easiest way to remove window tint?

My hatch's tint is turning purple and I want to remove it. How should I go about doing this? The tint is the sticker type. Should I just peel it off or will that leave bad results underneath on the window?

What other help does he need? A Soapy water solution and a razor blade takes tint right off of windows. Ive used that method for any car I have had with tint....
You peel off the tint and then with the soapy water spread over the residue. Give it 5 min to soak in, then with razor blade lightly scrape away glue left on windows. And for safety sake push razor blade away from you just in case u slip... no need for u to cut yourself!

I used a heat gun and a razor blade to get the tint off. Then used 409 to get rid of all the residue.

30 bucks! HAHA it cost me 100 just for the rear. Because its almost impossible not to cutt he defrosters and if they do they dont wanna get screwed and have to replace it. But like everyone else said. Peel it off, then take window cleaner/water and soap soultion, spray it on the window and scrape with a razor blade (of course holding it flat). No need for other methods. Thats how you get it done. Sure theres probably ways to tweak it a little but thats all you need to know, peel, spray, scrape, wipe with a damp cloth to get the soap off. And you done, lock this thread now so no one else can post and possibly confuse everyone and avoid about 20 more topics in the a/c sections about removing tint that were sprung off of this one.

I dont like solutions and waiting. I did mine perfectly with a heatgun, take your time with the heatgun or you will spend 3x as much time scraping the adhesive off. I can do 5 windows perfectly in about 30 minutes.

I just peeled them off. Left hardly any adhesive since I did it slowly. Took about 30 minutes. Didn't even use a razor either. Used some acetone to clean up the remaining adhesive.

It might take a while but try to get part of it to peel with your nail or a razor blade and peel it in large pieces slowly.

OMG I just tried to take off my tint, i think its old so its turning purple. Anyways, I used Dishwashing Detergant, water, and a bottle of Windex. I peeled the "film" off of it, and then began to work at the sticky film. I used water + Dish washing detergant on the sticky, and let it sit for 5 minutes. And yes, it dried up! WTF! Okay now i got a driver side window i cant see through. Someone help me out here, what was i doing wrong? It took me 15 minutes to get like 1/3 of a ich off of the tint.... Should I go get some Simple Green? BUMP!

The razor blade and Simple Green works awsome! My tint was put on in 95, but the simple green took it off no problem. It's just a little time consuming.

for the back just sweat it off so you dont **** up the defroster,
1st spray it down real good with windex
2nd, tape a big black trash bag to the inside of the window
3rd , wait till it starts to bubble and peel it off slowly.
oh and it has to be fairly hot for this to work .
