Default couple questions about installing boltons

Before i go out into the real world and start spending money i wanted to get some opinions and some questions answered. I have a 95 lude si w/ the h23, both the motor and the tranny are in very good cond and i am going to start putting on the bolt on stuff. Anyway how much do you think it would be to get headers and a catback system would cost in total after labor, ive looked up some prices but not so sure on the labor. Also do you guys have any preferences on what exhaust system to go with (i was thinking skunk2 maybe) and if there is a choice which headers would be better 4-2-1 or 4-1, ive heard 4-2-1 are better off the line and 4-1 and better for midrange. And the last thing is how long does it take to install a cold air intake into a 95 si because i have a friend with a 95 teg gsr and it takes like 10 minutes to change his intake.
Thx for the help
Tom

Very true.

Quote of the day- "You get what you pay for"

SMSP seems to make VERY nice headers, but they cost around $1,200.

Many people will argue an intake is an intake is an intake. You can pay 200+ for an AEM one, or just order a cheap one off ebay and put a new filter on it and basically see the same gains. Also, a CAI you might have to cut out piece of your fender ( maybe thats just on a lude??) and will take longer to install and gain high end, while a short ram will be easier to install and gain low end.

Exhaust depends on a lot. How loud do you want it? How much are you willing to spend? Do you want a manufactored one, or do you want to spend around $200 and just have a muffler shop mandrel bend you one?

Are you going all motor or do you plan on going FI. I wouldnt go any larger than 2.5-2.75 for all motor, but for FI you might want bigger.

Man, I really hope you're not going to pay someone to put an i/h/e on for you.
Read up, do it yourself, it's just bolt ons.
All you'll need is a jack and some basic tools.

In response to your question about the CAI, its relatively easy to do. The hardest part was getting the resonator out from the fender well. One of the bolts attaching it was increadibly hard to get to and you could only turn it a few millimeters at a time. Probably took me about an hour or so to install the intake. The sound is worth an additional 10 ear hp. lol.
