Default disabling abs ?

on ek4

is it possible to disengage it temporarily and easily ?

Pull the e-brake up just enough so that the light comes on. After driving like that for a minute the abs will disengage and the abs light will come on.

tried the handbrake thing and didnt work, wheres the abs fuse ?

if you disable it by pulling the fuse just put the fuse back in. If that doesn't do it then you can recet the ECU, but putting the fuse back in and restarting the car should do it.

If you just remove the fuse, you have the ABS light staying on your cluster all the time. The best way to disable it.... find the ABS computer and unplug the 2 or 3 plugs going into it. That way, no ABS and no ABS CEL.

Unplug the ABS computer

does disabling abs using any of the above methods cause any problems with the abs unit?

or is it perfectly safe for the car???

plugged abs fuse back in and no abs light, works perfectly fine as i found out with encounter with ek9 today
