Low RPM Skip. Please Help!!!
I have a 92 accord ex coupe 5 spd. and it has a skip below 2500 rpm, the skip only occurs when the car is warmed up. I already have cleaned the EGR ports so I know that isn't the problem. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.
How did you clean your EGR ports? A lean miss from 1800-2200 RPM on a 4th generation Accord is almost always clogged EGR ports.
Is it an ignition miss? Are you sure it doesn't miss above 2500 RPM, too?

i pulled the plugs out of the intake manifold and cleaned them that way my neighbor helped me, he is a master tech. at a local honda dealership. he says there is a possibility that it could be an ignition miss but i have no idea. timing maybe??
possibilty of the balancer shaft being out of timing when its off i creates a low rumble felt in lower RPM
put to TDC with cyclinders 1 and 4 up and cam arrow upperwards, remove upper timing cover, grab yourself a flashlight and check the balancer shaft make sure its aligned with the mark on the oil case and line on the shaft

With most 4th generation complaints, the car doesn't even need to leave the service drive before I've already written my estimate.
Ask your neighbor to go for a ride with you. A miss under load is almost always a faulty plug wire. You could have a pool of oil in the spark plug tubes. It's possible you have a cracked spark plug, too. It's tough to diagnose a miss over the internet.
