Upgrades on 2000 civic dx

I am looking to do some up grades on this civic its motor is D16? any ideas on what I can do ?

i'm dropping a gsr motor in my dx....that stock engine just doesn't cut it...no point in throwing away money on a weak foundation

For the stock DX motor, there's not much you can do. You might want to try a mini-me to get VTEC and possibly boost.
