Default B18 head on a B16 block????????

i'm doing a swap with a b16 but the guy make a mistake and giveme a b18 head
Would that is going to make any difference?????? he also give me a type r tranny how do you think that this combination will work?? Is this going to bring my 96 cx hatch to the low 14's ??? the mechanic tellme that that swap was goin to be better than a b16a2 you guys think so?

Is a GSR head Jspec with everyting on it.....

As long as its a VTEC b18 head, you have nothing to worry about.
And the itr tranny's gearing is similar to the b16 gearing, and it should have lsd.
You should be good to go.

It may be slightly quicker than a normal b16 swap depending on which head, cams, and intake manifold it has on there.

if he gave you a LS head that is really gonna suck cause u dont have vtec.
If he gave you a GSR head then it is going to slightly lower your Compression Ratio
If he gave you a Type R head then u have a b16 head

A gsr head will slightly raise compression.

also, if you have a GSR head, the oem intake manifold has dual length intake runners to improve low end power. you'll need a p72 ecu to run it properly. you can switch to a JG/AEBS/Skunk2 i/m and run a regular p28/p30/p72 ecu
