Suggestions needed for mildly built b16.
The mods on this thing are:
b16 block
GSR head
Port, and polished head
3 angle valve job (stock valves)
Unorthodox cam gears
gsr cams
Head is shaved 3 thousandths
2 layer spoon head gasket
y1 lsd b16 tranny
act clutch
ct intake manifold, and throttle body
Sohc cai
dc headers
straight pipe
2.5" exhaust
chiped p3 ecu
Since the head is shaved 3 thousandths, and there is a 2 layer headgasket, should the timing be advanced by a couple degrees? Right now the cam gears aren't lined up to perfection. My guess is because of the headgasket being so thin, and the head was shaved 3 thousandths. The car doesn't seem to pull as it should, and the compression in all 4 cylinders is only at 215 all the way around. I would think the compression is supposed to be a little higher, no?
Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks.
