I have a 1997 Accord SE. Recently, I heard a "buzzing" noise when I activated my door locks, coming from the passenger side. A bit of research showed me it was the actuator--which I removed using an older post on here, took it apart, and replaced one of the rubber stops inside with elctrical tape.

I didn't want to spend $300 to have a dealer or garage replace the actuator.

I'm having a little difficulty getting it back together, and I'm wondering if someone here has a diagram of the entire lock system.

When I hooked everything back up the way I thought it should be, all power locks engaged except this one--which leads me to think that I have to connect a rod somewhere, maybe to the white arm sticking out of the top of the actuator, which would make sense.

Please share any understanding you al have of this issue. Thanks!

 

best bet is to go buy the part, it wont cost an arm and a leg

As for actually replacing it, this one part took me over an hour to look at and figure out how i could get it back in, its not a fun job, I had probs cuz my hands were to big to get into half of the spaces. I have no directs really to do it, ummm I know theres a thread on here with a helms manual on it it makes alot of sense when u see it because I didnt have one
